“Excuse me? I don’t think I heard you..”

I have been praying and meditating more frequently lately. Trying to “hear” from GOD. It’s amazing how it seems as time goes by, you might want to turn the TV off first! Listening and hearing God’s voice are definitely two different things:

  1. You have to actually hear that something is being said
  2. Have the ability to distinguish between his voice and the TV you left on upstairs
  3. Block out the “other” voices in your head…..just joking…

But you get the picture, right? So once you have successfully heard his voice, you must listen.

Ah, yes, listen. I think that is one of the hardest things for us to do. Especially as young adults. We believe we already know everything, and then we won’t listen when the new information is being given to us! Now I won’t put this all on just young adults, I do know a few older adults who act the same!

The point is that we have to place ourselves in a position to hear from GOD, and then we have to actually listen to whatever it is he is trying to tell us.

With all of that being said, I am going to have to cut this short. Now I will turn off the TV, and phone, and ready myself while pray and meditating on the word of GOD. I know I may or may not hear him, but the point is that I will ready myself for what he has to say. Maybe this time, after he has spoken, I won’t be saying, “Excuse me? I don’t think I heard you..”

Stay Blessed!
