1) Sense Knowledge Faith, and
Another way to look at the two kinds of faith is according to James 2:14-26, NLT. One faith works, and becomes fruitful, whereas the other faith does not bear any fruit and is not a saving faith. We must have faith according to what has been reveled to us in the Word of God, and through prayer and supplication!
Believing in what you have evidence of, is not “real” faith! When we can only believe those things that are manifested in front of us, then we have faith in the Senses and not in the Word of God. When we have to “see it”, “feel it”, or “hear it” in order to believe it then that is not “real” faith either! Don’t be like Thomas in John 20:25 (KJV) “…Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
When you begin to believe that God is a perfect mind, and that Jesus is “the way-shower”, you have began to place your faith in the wrong place! God is not a perfect mind, instead He gives us a “perfect” mind, He will perfect our minds through its renewal! Jesus is not “the way-shower”, He is “THE WAY”! (John 14:6, KJV)
These thought processes begin to place our faith in ourselves, instead of God our father, His son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (who rests within us)!
If you truly want to restore, rebuild, and renew your faith then you must understand what you are trying to achieve. We have to KNOW what our faith is and what kind we already have! We live out our faith by obeying the Word of God.
